Chef Profession

The information in this article is up-to-date as of version Early Access v0.9.0.

The Chef Profession is part of the profession system added in Point Release 7. It is designed to take you through the various stages of using the Cooking skill from being brand new to the skill to becoming a grandmaster*.

Skills Required

In order to progress through the Chef profession you will require the following skills:

• Cooking

The Quest Line

There are 5 stages to the profession line Introduction, apprentice, Journeyman, Master and Grandmaster. Although if you already have a minimum of 30 skill in required skills you can skip the introduction quest. *(please note that as of Point Release 7 only the introduction & apprentice stages are available for this skill).

Learn Cooking (Introduction)

The following quest can be skipped if you already have 30 in the Cooking Skill.

1. Activate the profession via the professions UI.
2. Speak to an NPC Chef within any of the major towns.
3. Get 10 Stringy Meat by skinning chickens
4. Obtain a Cooking Pot, these can be purchased from a Tinkerer for 40 .
5. Speak to a Chef
6. Find a heat source such as a Hearth or Campfire. Place double clicking the pot and place the stringy meat inside. Press the cook one button until you have a Stringy Meat Snack
7. Speak to a Chef

Rewards

Once you have completed the quest you will be rewarded with up to 30 skill in Cooking.

Suspect Salami (Apprentice)

You must have a minimum of 30 skill to start this quest.

1. Begin the quest via the Professions UI.
2. Speak to a Chef in any of the main towns
3. Cook some beginner recipes. All ingredients can be bought from NPC shops in major towns
   1. Cook a Carrot
   2. Cook an Onion
   3. Cook a Strawberry
   4. Cook a Melon
   5. Cook some Mystery Meat
   6. Cook a Strawberry and Mystery Meat together
4. Speak to a Chef.

Rewards

When you complete the quest you will receive 50 Stringy Meat.
