Gardening is a game mechanic that was added in Early Access v0.8.7 as part of the Housing addons update.

Gardening allows a player to use grow various fruits, vegetables, herbs for consumption in Cooking.

There are three main stages in gardening:

  • Growing Seeds
  • Caring for plants
  • Harvesting plants

Growing Seeds[ | ]

Seeds[ | ]

Seeds are separated into three tiers and can be looted from mobs across Celador and planted into one of the three sized containers:

Containers[ | ]

Seeds must be put into containers to grow. There are 4 types of types of containers that can be crafted using the Carpentry Skill.

Caring for your Plants[ | ]

Harvesting[ | ]

Seeds take between 7 and 10 days to fully mature and provide the maximum yield (be advised the size of container will effect your yield). You can harvest your plants

any time however the yield will be lower.

Watering[ | ]

Seeds need to be watered in order to grow. There are 4 stages to watering that updates once a day to a dryer state.

EG. If your plant is in the Damp state it will move to dry the next day. If a plant is too wet or too dry it will not mature.

Stages of watering

  • Dry - Plants will not mature
  • Damp - Plants will continue to mature
  • Wet - Plants will continue to mature
  • Soaked - Plants will not mature
