Are Hunter/Huntress the same mob? I visited Spider Nest once and I just saw Hunters there. Is Huntress a rare spawn similar to Dire Wolves? Arth'Sath (talk) 16:50, 23 January 2019 (UTC)

I'm uncertain. For the time being, the Hunter page has been made a redirect here. Partly because of the uncertainty but also to prevent another failed attempt at a Hunter page from turning into "Heehaw". LunaPixu (talk)  16:58, 23 January 2019 (UTC)

I went to Spider's Nest to get some info. Hunter and Huntress are two different mobs sharing the same attributes. However, it seems that taming requirement for Hunter is greater than for Huntress. I stop receiving the message "You have almost no chance of taming this creature" with Huntresses but it still appearing when taming Hunters. Also, you cannot command Hunters after taming due to some bug, as previously reported by someone. It means that internally (code) these beasts are different but share many pieces of code. CS might change this in the future then we can discuss what to do. For the time being i think we better leave things as they are. Arth'Sath (talk) 20:02, 27 January 2019 (UTC)

Before the most recent patch there were only 99% Hunters in the Spider's Nest. The recent patch, in an effort to provide more high-end tameable creatures, made the Huntress far more common than before. A Hunter used to have a rare chance of spawning as a Huntress. Now they are about 50/50. They have the same stats. Previously, the Hunter was not tameable-- only the Huntress was. Now they are both tameable. However, the Hunter is bugged and takes more than 5 control slots. I was not aware the taming requirement was slightly higher for Hunters. Destr0minate (talk) 16:30, 29 January 2019 (UTC)
